Synopsis
"MT10 News" is a student-run news organization on Middle Tennessee State University's campus. The show produces two, half-hour newscasts a week, keeping you up to date on what's going on in Middle Tennessee.

About the show
I joined "MT10 News" at the beginning of my freshman year of college. Having participated in the broadcast news program at my high school, I quickly learned the ropes at MT10.
My first semester I worked as an Associate Producer, writing news stories and assisting my producers in whatever they needed of me. After one semester, I moved up to the role of Producer. Through this, I continued writing stories, but now had to coordinate with reporters, anchors, and production crew to ensure my half-hour newscast was filled every week with well-rounded content.
I continued serving as a Producer in my third semester. In my fourth semester with MT10, I was asked to step into a management role as the Executive Producer of the show. In this position, I work with all of the producers and associate producers to aide them in every newscast. Along with this, I work with the management team to keep MT10 functioning smoothly.
As of December 2019, I served as the News Director of MT10 News. I will oversaw the program as a whole and ensured that the success and longevity of the program continued. For our 2020 election coverage special, I produced 6 cut-ins and shows that aired at the top of the hour from 7pm to midnight, as well as, leading the rest of the news staff.
While I don't plan on going into news or journalism, I have gained innumerable skills from my roles in MT10: time management, working under pressure, writing skills, communication, and leadership abilities. I am so glad I continued with MT10 through my college career as it helped me tremendously in learning and growing as a leader.
