"The Turn"

- 2018 to 2020 -

Synopsis

"The Turn" is a late-night, improv comedy show where we turn the tables on hot topics in popular culture. The show's third season was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the fourth and final season premiered in October 2020.

About the show

"The Turn" was created by myself and four other MTSU film students in our Multi Camera I class in the Fall of 2018. What originally began as a fun class project quickly developed into something more serious as we continued making episodes throughout the semester.

In the Spring of 2019, the show was green lit by MT10, the student-run television station, to begin its first official season. I took on the role of Executive Producer, which featured aspects of casting, writing, editing, and so much more. The show became more than a passion project for myself, as more people joined the show and fell in love with it.

The show has now produced two, six-episode seasons. The third season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the (unplanned) fourth season began in October and finished in December 2020.

Creating a show which allowed people to escape for a little while and (hopefully) laugh is one of my proudest accomplishments of my career. If you like the show and want to keep up with any future content (reunion special anyone?),  follow our Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and check out our new website!
